Check Writing Campaign
For the fifth year in a row, the Shady Grove PTA will be running a check writing campaign to meet the majority of our fundraising goals.  This alleviates the need for sales-based fundraising coming home throughout the year.  The Check Writing Campaign has been extremely successful and we have received a lot of favorable feedback.  Although a minimum contribution of $45 per child is suggested, we ask that you please consider becoming a “Cardinal Donor” by making a contribution of $100 or more per family.  All Cardinal Donor families will receive a free copy of the school directory where they will be recognized and will receive the new Cardinal Donor car magnet along with some great incentives for your child and his/her classroom.  Need another copy of the form?  Get one HERE.
  Target REDcard                                        

You can raise money for Shady Grove by shopping at Target!! 
If you have a Target REDcard, all you need to do is enroll in their Take Charge of Education Program and designate Shady Grove Elementary School.  Target will donate up to 1% of your REDcard purchases to our school while you receive 5% off each time you shop just for having the card!  Enroll online at www.target.com/tcoe.  Simply search for Shady Grove or enter our school ID 103962You can also enroll by phone by calling 800-316-6142.

   Kroger Plus Card

Shady Grove will be participating in the Kroger Plus Card for Education Program again this year.  The program starts on September 13.  This program provides educational awards to our school based on the credits earned every time you shop.  Please register by bringing in the BAR CODE and having the cashier scan it along w/ your Kroger Plus Card.  You only need to scan it one time, but you must re-scan each year.  Friends and family can participate too.

  Martin's Card

Last year our school raised over $1600 just by parents and teachers like you shopping at Martin's and using your Martin's Bonus Card. Martin’s donates
1% of your total purchases to Shady Grove! This program runs  until March. To enroll, go to http://richmond.martinsfoods.com/aplus to register your Martin’s Bonus card with our school code 03116 or click HERE for a printable form to send in with your child to register your card.  You must sign up each year for our school to get credit for this program. You can even split your points between two different schools if you choose.  There are instructions on how to do this on the Martin's website.


 Papa John's Pizza Nights

Papa John's Pizza Nights are back!  We had great success with this program last year so we are hoping you will take the opportunity to take the night off from making dinner and enjoy a slice of Papa John's pizza. Each month there will be 3 days (T-Th) that are designated as Shady Grove Nights.  You can order your meal online at www.papajohns.com

Box Tops
                                                     Challenge

Please keep collecting Box Tops for Shady Grove! Every classroom has a chance to win a PTA-sponsored ice cream party for collecting the most number of Box Tops in our spring challenge. The Box Tops must be submitted by February 17th to be counted for this 2011-12 school year and to count towards winning the ice cream party.

As always, please submit only 10 single Box Tops on each Box Tops submission sheet. Bonus Box Tops and additional Box Tops should be sent in a Ziploc bag labeled with the name of your child's teacher on the bag. Campbell's soup labels and soda can tops are not accepted in our Box Tops challenge. Moreover, expired Box Tops cannot be accepted.

If you are interested in shopping online for any purchases and helping us gain more box tops, here is how to proceed:
1.   Become a member of Box Tops for Education by signing up your email onto the website: www.boxtops4education.com
2.   Once logged in as a member, go to http://www.boxtops4education.com/earn/marketplace and click on the button "see all stores." Click on the store you want to make a purchase from and the box tops will automatically be sent back to our school once your online purchase and transaction goes through. It's that easy!
3.   If you would like classroom credit for these purchases, please send in a copy the receipt with your teacher's name and mention the number of box tops offered in the promotion (for example 2 box tops for every $10 spent).
